Production is rare on this island as it is expensive to ship/fly out crews and equipment. Cons: * Distance: Tuvalu is considerably remote, making the average flight from the U.S. 18-25 hours long. * Staff: There are not a lot of workers there. * Permits: Film permits are handled on a local level, with many areas belonging to different ethnic and religious groups who vary in permission. * Communication: Internet is slow and limited to city centers. * Incentives: There are currently no tax incentives offered to film here. * Weather: There are occasional typhoons and extremely humid conditions. However local government is looking to help the economy so they will make any deals.
